NABI College Scholarship Fund

• To encourage and support the higher education of NABI alumni
• Grant (2) $10,000 scholarships and (2) $5,000 scholarships to NABI alumni in-need

• Seniors who graduated in Spring 2025
• Participants of the 2025 Native American Basketball Invitational (NABI)
• Must be enrolled full-time – 12 or more credit hours
• Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA to apply

• All requests must be received in writing by mail; No emails will be accepted.
• Submit copies of the following items:
  • 2025 NABI College Scholarship Fund Application
  • Proof of Enrollment (copy of acceptance letter for the semester you are attending).
  • Copy of Tribal Membership.
  • Current college financial statement showing need. Must be on official letterhead and show student name and ID number. *Tuition & Expenses from the school’s website will not be accepted.
  • Copy of High School Report Card/Transcript. Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA to apply.
  • 500 word essay: “What NABI means to me”
  • Completion of 40 Community Service hours (include letter from organization).
  • List of Extracurricular Activities.
  • Two Recommendation Letters
  • Contact information for the financial aid dept. to include address to mail scholarship.

Make copies of all documents to obtain for your records.
Once application is submitted, changing college or university will automatically disqualify the applicant.
All funds not used for purpose granted within 12 months of donation date, MUST be returned to NABI.

The NABI College Scholarship selection committee is responsible for the selection process and the awarding of NABI scholarships and grants. For ethical and accountability purposes, if an applicant has a tribal affiliation with any committee member , or a committee member is an alumnus of applying educational institution, that committee member will be exempt from the selection process. Scholarships will be awarded to (4) Seniors. Preferably (2) male and (2) female, depending on application submission. Total amount of scholarship will be $10,000 and $5,000 each and will be based on a student’s academic performance.

Scholarship awardees will be notified by email on July 2, 2025. Awardees must submit a current photo upon being notified. Scholarship awards will be presented during the 2025 NABI Championship Games. Awardees must be present.
